Colossians Kickoff

The one concern I have when every Bible study I lead comes to an end is whether or not the women I love will continue spending time in God’s Word once our formal study has concluded. We all have good intentions, but often, our good intentions don’t convert to action. However, the Lord calls us to come to Him each day through spending time both in His Word and in prayer. At Highpoint, we call this a priority time. This past month, I taught Moving Beyond. This 5-week study had a 2-fold purpose: first, to address the places we frequently get stuck in our walks with the Lord; second, and equally (if not more) important, to help women learn how to spend time in God’s Word in a meaningful way. “Read the Bible and pray” sounds good, but it leaves the question “How?” longing to be answered.During our last week of the study, I provided our women with a Priority Time Guide through the book of Colossians. Many have already started and now I welcome you to join us. If you don’t already have a specific plan to spend time in God’s Word and prayer in an intentional way this summer, I encourage you to jump in. I’ll spend the next several weeks blogging as I go through Colossians in my own priority time. But please don’t wait on me nor depend on me! The beauty of a priority time is you get to hear from the Lord for yourself. So, jump in using the guide below. Not sure how to have a priority time? I’m so glad you asked. Spending time with the Lord isn’t meant to be limited to theologians. It’s a relationship with God that’s the bottom line. Check out my post on Thursday for the highlights and links to a resource for more information.Moving Beyond PT guide jpeg
