Let me hear from you...
When you decide to blog, you have to ask the question, “What difference does it make?” There is no reason for any of us to waste our time writing or reading empty or redundant words. If you can get the same information elsewhere, then we can refrain from cluttering another web address. What moved me forward was the frequency with which I encountered women who feel alone in their journey. They likely have friends, but when it comes to a particular pain in their life, they find themselves feeling like they are alone in the struggle. There are painful realities that the enemy wants us to believe are uncommon which are actually one of his common tools. I hope this blog will help women to realize, no matter how unique their specifics might be, that the Lord has sustained and brought healing to the very same wound time and time again. Death, divorce, cutting, eating disorders, infertility, depression, bullied children, bullying children, imprisonment, rape, drugs, abuse, abortion, and every other pain we could name are horrific but not hopeless. The Lord is our hope. He is our strong tower and He uses the body to tangibly come around the hurting and comfort them in their storm. Some of these specific scenarios I hear over coffee. Some of them are held silent in the hearts of women. I wanted to ask you to be so bold to reply to me and let me know two things…
- What particular battle makes you feel alone?
- What topic would you like to see addressed to help women who you know are struggling in a particular area?
Unlike other weeks of my blog, I will not make the comments public. This would be a way for you to let me know of topics that would minister to you and other women you care for. If I am not able to address the topic from my own experience, I will invite specific women with expertise to join me as I launch a series later this Fall.So today, you write the rest of the blog. I’d love to hear what you want to hear about. twitter | facebook
