Moving With Us
This past week at Highpoint, we launched a new study: Moving Beyond. My desire in creating this study was to help women identify where they’re stuck and then help them move beyond where they are so they can be all who God created them to be. I was encouraged that over 300 of our women came… but for every one of those who’s able to attend, there are thousands who desperately need God’s merciful hand to help them navigate the ditch, valley, roadblock, or plateau they’re currently struggling to get past. So, I bring a taste of Moving Beyond to my blog followers. Regardless of what city you live in or what church you attend, if you’re a follower of Christ, the enemy is pretty happy if you’re stuck. Since we’re not in the business of making the enemy happy, I invite you to join me for the next 5 weeks so you might experience victory over whatever it is that’s holding you back from being all that God desires. You’re welcome to order a journal if you want, but more important than the resource is whether or not you have these 3 things:
1. TransparencySome of us have been stuck for a few days. Others of us have been stuck for decades. Regardless of the length of time or the reason you’re stuck, you’ll only move past the barricade if you’re willing to be honest. Honest with yourself. Honest with God. Honest with others. When we hide or minimize our struggles, we’re only asking for them to continue.
This past week, we discussed moving beyond fear. In our isolation, fear grows. Yet if we’re transparent, we’re able to encounter other people who can shatter the lie that we’re alone. When we realize others share our fear, we begin to take back some of the ground the enemy tried to seize.

2. FocusIt’s in our nature to minimize our struggles. We push them down and try to forget about them. In doing this, we never look the battle in the eyes and engage. I challenge you to call out where you’re stuck and stare it down. You can’t do this alone, but you can do it with the Lord. Decide that you’ll intentionally keep this battle as the focus of your prayer life for the next 5 weeks. Commit to fighting this battle once and win, rather than just pushing it back each time it resurfaces.
3. TrustDo you trust God’s character? Do you trust that only He knows what’s best, wants what’s best, and can give what’s best? If you don’t trust God, He can handle that. It doesn’t threaten Him or change His character. Ask Him to show Himself to you in such a way that trust is birthed in you.
If you do trust Him, be willing to obey Him. As you ask for freedom from where you’re stuck, there’s frequently a role for us to play. Respond with obedience. Don’t delay or make excuses, but be willing to trust Him enough to obey and reap the result of your obedience.
I hope this journey will be an encouragement to you. Whatever has you stuck… it can’t keep you from Moving Beyond.[bctt tweet="If you trust God, you need to be willing to obey Him. "]
